Last Customer Reviews: AVG vs Zemana

Eric Aldridge
AVG Antivirus is simply the best thing! It works wonderfully and does not put any pressure on the system. I personally highly recommend this software.

Is this program good for Wi-Fi? I mean, does it protect my devices against unauthorized Wi-Fi hacks?

I have a question for the reviewer. Did you try the AVG free edition? Does it have the same functionality?

I bought a one year prescription for Zemana. I clearly had a malware highjacking outgoing internet connection on a windows 10 desktop. The "proxy virus" is the name I could track online. Zemana detected the virus, but it would not remove all the components, so after a few minutes, the files that were deleted, would be reinstalled. I finally downloaded an old and FREE version of Malwarebytes, which did the job and the proxy virus was removed completely.

Malwarebytes is a rockstar. But Zemana isn't much behind. Both work solid

I just bought the premium license. The free version was able to clean malware not detected by Malwarebytes Premium and Avast Free. Those two applications in fact had been disabled by the malware, which also disabled Comodo Firewall Free and CCleaner Premium. Memory usage when running in the background is under 20 MB.

AVG highlights:

  • Decent protection from viruses, ransomware, spyware.
  • Scanning of computer’s drives for all types of problems.
  • Detecting and preventing zero-day threats.
  • Detecting and neutralizing phishing/fraudulent sites.
  • Blocking suspicious links and files.
  • Scanning incoming e-mails, including attachments.
  • Free Mac and Android packages.
  • Extra tools like a file shredder.

Zemana highlights:

  • On-demand cloud-based scanning
  • Won’t conflict with traditional antivirus products
  • Efficient in removing zero-day malware
  • Reasonably priced Premium edition
