Do I need to have a Mobile phone? The change in pass-word seems to have worked ,but the page changes I'm asked for a mobile phone .I don't have one, but the only way out is to log out.

It's a great product, but when your fee of £24 in year one becomes £168 at renewal - you have to conclude that they are con merchants who don't care about customer service in the slightest. Especially if you pay via PayPal (really don't use them either), because it automatically renews and charges you, to which you have no recourse. Avoid at all costs and use someone else who has a more transparent charging policy!

apparently its for the month. Its a one off charge as its automatic renewal & price will be different.

I have been a very faithful customer of AVG for years...until today. I was offered a 30 day trial on several subscriptions plus the ability to pay monthly for such subscriptions, which is an upgrade versus the free version. To my surprise, I never received the 30 day free trial, and was charged the whole amount for each 2 year subscription. I called a number listed on AVG's website to have this corrected, to have the monthly charges adjusted, and to get the 30 day free trial. The agent that took my call (his name is Wowie by the way...don't even know that this is a real name)was not only rude, but told me that it was my fault I was charged the whole amount. I asked to talk to his supervisor, and he declined to transfer my call. This is a disgrace of a customer service for a company I was so faithful to for so long. As of today I am un-installing AVG and will rather pay the premiums Norton charge. The functionality and efficiency of this program does not make up for the horrible customer service.

I paid these con artists $1200 cdn for what they claimed would be lifetime service. 18 months later later they make what they say is a service call. Guy chews me out for not calling them every month. They rummage around in my computer, tell me I’m at risk from the bad guys trying to get into my system from ads I may have clicked. Remedy: for another $350. (For one year) they will protect me. No thanks. Also wonder they may have left behind on my computer or what personal data they may have stolen. Rating 0/5

This is just a warning for AVG user. I used AVG for 4 years. After my second renewal came up, I decided not to re-new again since it became expensive compare to McAfee. My credit card in their system was expired at the time they supposed to do auto renewal charge. Surprisingly, they can charge my other credit card even though it is not in their system. I found it scary. I called their customer service and their response was it was a lucky guess. You think it yourself. I don't have any complain regarding their performance but the fact that they can charge my card is so scary!
