Last Customer Reviews: Intego vs Webroot

Claire
last year I picked this anti virus for my mac I'm using it every week to run scans and never turn off my protection. there were no issues so far Intego is easy to use and quite fast.

they say that macs do not need an antivirus... I bet they do! I have almoist lost all my files a while ago. For that reason I had to buy a good antivirus for my Mac book. I did a research, asked my friend (he's in IT business) and he told me that Intego antivirus might be the best choice... well, i got this antivirus - no issues. it is great!

I still believe that Intego is one of the best antiviruses out there for my iMac. I mean come on... they even designed it to fit the interface of iOS! I got it about 3 months ago.... straight away it caught 4 warms and a spy cookie!!! can you imagine?

Webroot customer service is rubbish. They have a phone line which leave you perpetually on hold. They also run a pure scam in terms of renewals. First element of the scam is to set up as automatic renewal and then charge excess fees for second and subsequent years. The other part of the scam is to have URGENT ALERTS notifying that the subscription expires soon and urging immediate payment. Those expiry notices are more than two months before expiry. But when they get payment they 'renew' the subscription for 365 days from that date, effectively then charging for one year subscription but only providing 10 months. I know these scams are also perpetrated by other internet businesses, but that is no excuse. Webroot demonstrate that they have no customer service and no ethics and people should avoid scam businesses of this type.

We're really sorry to know that you had such a bad experience with Webroot. Unfortunately, we can't test the payment options or the recurring payment conditions. However, we strongly advice to check out other reviews of the products with really immaculate reputation. For instance, Norton Antivirus or Total AV Best regards, BestAntivirusPro.org team
